If you would like to listen to faboulus live music from all over the world, you should not miss the famous World of Music, Art and Dance (WOMAD) festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The festival takes place every year in November.

WOMAD festivals take place in over 20 countries, on 4 continents.

WOMAD Music Festival

For the past eight years, the Parque de Santa Catalina – a city square close to spectacular the Playa de las Canteras beach – has been the heart of the festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
During these 3-4 days, you can not only enjoy various live musical performances, but also workshops, stalls, night shows, DJ sessions, as well as children events.

The original idea of Peter Gabriel – the founder of the festival, was to evoke interest in celebrating, and first of all, in sharing the world music, arts and dance.
