Ephemeral art

The nativity scene made out of sand, at the "Las Canteras" beach in Las
Palmas
, i posted nearly a month ago (see pictures here) is now gone.

It took the artists almost ten days to build it and yesterday, in a matter of an hour, 50 kids from a public school kicked and punched it down, relieving their adrenaline level. Their teacher said that the day before they could barely teach their lessons once the kids got the news, they were the ones in charge of "destorying" this artwork, due to their nerves.

Well, lets just wait for the next year to see another "destruction derby". :D

well… the other adults release their adrenaline in the way they drive their cars here around on the island… blinking right and left without actually turning in that direction, and driving either extremely fast and without brain or dead slow that your grandmother could walk faster.

PS: Nice weblog! You are now listed on our site http://www.grancanariagay.com as non-gay reliable additional source about Gran Canaria and we broadcast your blog at the end of our page!
