My Journey to Gran Canaria Island

In the last years i travelled many times to Gran Canaria island. The island is one of the most beautiful places at the canary islands. The capital of Gran Canaria Island is Las Palmas, the same name is used for the Airport at witch every tourist arrives. I stayed in a 2 Star categorized apartment and also in a 3 star categorized apartment. If you would like to have cheap holidays, its the best to book an 2 star apartment without breakfast or other meals because there are many abilities to get cheap food in San Fernando at some supermarkets located in the north of Playa del Inglés. The best place is Mercadona. Playa del Ingles The main time for holidays is september till may. So in this time the prices per week goes up to 500 ...

Gran Canaria – perfect place for a perfect vacation

It was exactly 8 o´clock when I woke up. I turned around and looked at the window in my room. The sun had already risen, and some people were cleaning the beach at Playa del Inglés. I decided to stand up and take a shower. My room in the hotel Sahara Playa was really comfortable. There were three beds in it, although I had booked an single room. The furniture was made in a typical Canarian style. The bath room was big and very clean, I felt very well in it. Hotel Playa As I was hungry, I went downstairs for breakfast. The other side of Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria, being the most popular of all the Canary Islands, is known for its party-scene. However, tourists should not miss all the beautiful calm places the island also has to offer. Gran Canaria's landscape varies from desert, like dunes, over pinewoods to ~2000m high mountains in the centre of the island. The big variety of landscapes available on this relatively small island invites visitors to go hiking or even to discover by backpacking. Burg In additon, the cathedral of Santa Ana and the boulevard Calle Mayor de Triana in Las Palmas, the capital of the island, are very popular destinations for culture-interested visitors. The Palmitos Park near Maspalomas is a beautiful botanical garden which also acommodates monkeys, crocodiles, an orchid house, an aquarium with different species of fishes and coral displays, and Europe's largest butterfly house.

Playa del Ingles, a lot of life and movement

In Playa del Ingles, which means "The English Man's Beach" you will find a really beautiful beach, which stretches out over 5 kilometers. That is why you can find a lot of tourism here with a lot of hotels, appartments, restaurants, shops and tourist information points and other facilitys.
So you have to keep in mind that economically Playa del Ingles has elevated prices as it is usual for places frequented by tourists. Playa del Ingles is especially favoured by gay people. If you like to have a drink or a party, you should take a look at the mall called Yumbo-Center. If you prefer a calmer place for your holiday you should avoid the huge cities of Gran Canaria and visit the small villages abroad from the tourism, where you can join the traditons of the island.
