Puerto Mogan – Venice of the south

Puerto Mogan is a small village that is situated in the south of Gran Canaria. It is called one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns in Gran Canaria. Several beaches are visited everyday by hundreds of tourists. You can either sit in the sun, have a nice bath in the very clean water or one can do all kinds of watersport activities. Puerto Mogan was build around the port and is a typical fishing village. People say that you will find no fresher fish in the restaurants then in Puerto Mogan. Some of the best fish restaurants of the island are situated in the village. Because of the channels that reach from the port towards the village, Puerto Mogan is called Venice of the south.
