Santa Lucía, Gran Canaria
The municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana lies
on the southeast of Gran Canaria.
The town of "Santa Lucía" is situated in the inside of this
beautiful municipality in an agricultural environment.
Though, the most known part of it is the town of "Vencindario"
which has expanded and grown a lot in a short time and is the
second most important city centre of the south.
A must see of this particular municipality is the neighbourhood
of "Pozo Izquierdo" which is situated directly at the beach and
due to its almost constant winds the ideal place for windsurfers.
This beach is often used to celebrate the Windsurf World
Championships, thanks to its perfect weather conditions for this sport.
