Ingenio, Gran Canaria
Ingenio is a municipality on the southeast of Gran Canaria.
Ingenio's surface is 38,15km² and it is delimited on its north side
by the ravine of "el Draguillo" and the ravine of "Guayadeque" on
the south side. One thing worth mentionable is that the airport of
Gran Canaria lies in this municipality and is, due to its distance
to Las Palmas and to the touristic center in the south, very well
situated.
The museum of folk art, the "Museo de Arte Popular", is a very important
place since this municipality is well known for the quality of its
craftworks done here such as the pieces of cloth, works done with palmtree
leaf, etc...
