Firgas, Gran Canaria
Situated on the center part of Gran Canaria's north we find Firgas.
The most popular water springs of the canary islands were in this
municipality and gave it its fame. The most common used table-water
by the "canarios" is the water that get its name from this town.
Firgas water. Beside the water, Firgas bases its economy on
agriculture and stockbreeding. The deforestation of this municipality
throughout the centuries, made the wood industry grow. This promoted
the elaboration of tipical furniture, balcony's and farming tools.
The places worth to visit here, beside the town itself are the "Doramas" natural park and the "Azuaje" ravine, due to their vast
extension and the huge diversity of its flora.
